As with all of our tutoring, we help students learn these skills in customized, personal ways that cater to their unique needs and developmental level.

  We provide preparation in the following standardized tests:
  • SAT
  • SAT II Subject Tests
  • ACT
  • SSAT/ISEE

Success on standardized tests is a function of a student’s content knowledge, critical thinking skills, and familiarity with the test. We strive to develop a student’s competency in each of these areas.
 
  Rates. Sessions are $125/hour. Payment is due at the time of the appointment. Clients are responsible for the entire tutoring fee for sessions canceled less than 24 hours in advance.

Format and Scheduling. Each tutoring session is conducted in a one-to-one format and lasts approximately 55 minutes. We do not require a minimum number of sessions, but most students enroll in at least one session with the same tutor each week. Weekly tutoring ensures students maintain high academic standards and discipline. We offer “as needed” appointments if tutors are available. We hold sessions Monday through Saturday.

Content. Students can receive tutoring in more than one subject per session. We do not require clients to schedule one session per subject (i.e., one session for science, one session for history). For instance, a student may work on an English paper draft for 20 minutes of the session, and spend the remainder of the session solidifying concepts for an upcoming Chemistry test.
